Embroidery book no. 176 "Merry Christmas" presents expressive Christmas designs from classic to modern. The designs include home décor items such as cushions, blankets, runners, napkins, placemats, hangings and embroidered pictures, as well as gift accessories such as ribbons, tags and cardboard boxes. The book is divided into three themes. It starts with ultra-modern designs: the focus is on simple graphic motifs such as candles and branches with a minimalist, no-frills look. Amongst other things, the designs utilise stretch and knotted stitches. This is followed by a playful theme with cute figurative designs. Particularly nice: the embroidery projects in this chapter are deliberately kept simple and are therefore also suitable for children. Kids can conjure up Father Christmases and Christmas trees on cardboard boxes and wall hangings, for example. Placemats and a decorative felt ribbon are also child's play to embroider. Last but not least, the book contains atmospheric cross-stitch designs in classic Christmas colours. Blankets, runners, cushions and gift ribbons made from white and natural-coloured linen fabric are decorated with festive wreaths, poinsettias and lettering. With the embroidery school and the easy-to-understand counting patterns in the instructions section, all the designs are easy to embroider.
