You can apply great textures to your work with the crackle varnish. Simply prime the object and allow to dry sufficiently. Then apply the crackle paint, allow to dry briefly and then brush over with another acrylic colour. As it dries, the top layer of paint cracks, revealing the bottom layer of colour. A great and unusual effect!
