Cotton poplin is an absolute all-rounder among fabrics. It has a grammage of 115 g/m². This makes the lightweight fabric particularly suitable for the production of clothing. The material is a densely woven fabric with a plain weave and therefore has a subtle ribbed structure. The cotton yarns have different degrees of thickening, which is due to the nature of the cotton fibre. This creates the grainy, firm feel. The light, fine fabric is easy to care for and super easy to work with. The plain weave makes it relatively hard-wearing and perfect for blouses, tops and dresses. It can also be used to make trousers and light coats.
