Homemade candles become very special highlights when they shine in bright colours. You can easily colour your own candles with the colour pigments. The colour pigments in small pieces are easy to dose and are simply dissolved in liquid wax and mixed well with the candle wax. The colours range from soft, pastel shades to bright, intense colours. When dosing the colour, we recommend always starting with a small amount of colour and gradually adding more pigment until the desired shade is achieved. For medium colour intensity, 5g of colour pigment is sufficient to colour approx. 500g of wax. With a little practice, different colour pigments can be combined to create completely new colour tones or layer candles can be poured, for which wax in different colour tones is poured on top of each other. The individual layers are first allowed to dry before the next layer in a different colour is poured on top. When colouring beeswax, it should be noted that the yellow base tone of the wax has an influence on the colour result. The more colour pigment is used, the more the yellow base tone is masked.
